How do I apply for repair and/or weatherization assistance?

PSHH will ask you to complete an initial intake form (click on Applications for Housing Programs) and describe the specific repairs or rehabilitation you are requesting.  A small credit report fee is required at the time of application.  You can also stop by our main office or call (606)796-6333 to receive an initial intake form and have your questions answered by a PSHH staff member.

What else is required to receive repair and/or weatherization assistance?

We will ask for proof of household income for all adults in your household (click on Current Annual Household Income Limits) and proof of ownership. Your home must be located in Lewis County, Kentucky to qualify for this program. We will visit your home and provide you with a cost estimate of all repairs before the work begins.

Will the repairs and/or weatherization work cost me anything?

PSHH will keep construction costs to a minimum by completing the work with in-house building crews.  We also offer financing to qualified applicants, including loans with as little as a zero percent fixed interest rate at an affordable term. Grants may be available to subsidize the cost of the work.  In most cases, the small monthly payment will be less than the savings on your monthly utility bill, and you and your family will enjoy living more comfortably and worry-free in your home.
